What is the ingredient philosophy behind Clinical Feminine Care?

Our philosophy is simple: use gentle cleansing agents suited to sensitive skin, support the vulva’s natural pH, and leave out ingredients that commonly cause irritation. Less, chosen carefully, rather than more.

The vulva is more delicate and reactive than the skin on your arms or hands. A wash for this area should clean lightly and rinse away cleanly, without stripping the natural moisture your skin depends on. That principle guides every formulation decision we make. What gentle cleansing agents are used, and why?

We use mild surfactants selected for their gentleness on sensitive external skin, paired into a soft foam that lifts away everyday residue without harshness.

Foam matters more than it might seem. A pre-foamed, airy lather means the wash spreads easily and rinses fast, so there is less mechanical rubbing and less product lingering on the skin. The goal is a clean, fresh feeling, not a squeaky, tight one.

What does Clinical Feminine Care deliberately leave out?

By design, our wash is made without:

• Sulfates (such as SLS and SLES): effective foaming detergents that can feel stripping or drying on delicate skin
• Parabens: preservatives many people simply prefer to avoid
• Artificial dyes: color adds nothing for your skin and is an unnecessary variable for sensitive users
• Harsh fragrance: strong scent is a common source of irritation, which is why we offer a fragrance-free option

How do you read a feminine-care label?

Read it the way you would read a food label: ingredients are listed in order of how much is used, by their standardized INCI names, with the largest amounts first.

A few things worth looking for:

• A pH note or “external use only” line. This tells you the product is designed for the vulva, not internal use. Healthy feminine care is external only, never internal, and never douching.
• Recognizable, plain claims such as sulfate-free, paraben-free, and dye-free, then confirm them against the full ingredient list.
• A fragrance line. “Fragrance” or “parfum” signals added scent. A fragrance-free product omits it entirely.
• A short, purposeful list rather than a long one padded with extras.

Which option suits the most sensitive skin?

For anyone whose skin reacts easily, the Fragrance-Free Gentle Foam Wash is the most cautious choice. It keeps the same gentle, pH-conscious base and simply removes added scent, so there is one less variable in the mix.

Our Fresh Scent version uses a light, carefully chosen fragrance for those who enjoy it. Both are formulated to the same gentle standard. The difference is only whether scent is present. You can compare both across the full shop.
